Coordinated press campaign and acted as primary press contact,
pitching and placing stories with a diverse pool of editors and
publications. Coordinated and created online multimedia content,
including audio and video feeds. Edited all official statements and
speeches.

Oversaw the editorial development of a new, underground, national
literary journalism magazine scheduled to launch in Spring, 2003.
Developed story ideas, cultivated writers, and built up a solid mix
of submissions from a pool of young writers, as well as developing
marketing and distribution strategies.

2001 Production Coordinator, Oxygen Media
Wrote the “stripe,” or crawl for a nationally aired cable
television show. Created title cards and graphics for show segues
and titles. Evolved the stripe from a basic identification tool to a
fully independent narrative sidebar to the show, supplementing the
main programming with in depth facts and reporting.

Researched, developed, and wrote on a freelance basis stories for
the features section of a popular regional entertainment magazine.
Responsible for writing and editing the “Walking Tours” section, a
weekly guide of local walking tours. Substituted for the assistant
managing editor, trafficking copy and conducting the last proofread
